American Rocketshield

We all know that the USA want to build a rocketshield in the centre of Europe. They want to build it against the treath of Iran. This is an idea of the Bush administration. The Russian think that the rocketshield is pointing @ them and not @Iran.

President Obama has talked with Russia and has made them a proposal. He is willing to let the rocketshield in Europa drop if Russia is going to help them to cope with the treath of Iran.

How do you all think about this? Does the world need a rocketshield? Is the reaction of Obama right?

New cold war?

We have seen that the last years (under Putin and now Medvedev) Russia has taken a more agressive course against the rest of the world.

We have seen:
The gascrisis with Europe.
The war in Georgia.
The opposition against the rest of the world in conflicts.

And many more..

Do we have to be affraid again of Russia? Are they going to be once again one off the greatest nations in the world?

The meaning of this blog

Hello all,

First of all let me introduce myself.

I am Aaron Hermans and 21 years year young. Iam studying to become a teacher. I am allowed to give history and project main courses to children from 13 till 18 years old.
For my thesis I have the subject: The rise of Russia.

I always have had a curiousity about Russia, so the subject is made for me ! I have to make some kind of project that explains the rise of Russia in history (also today) to children.

So this blog has the meaning to have everyones comments on how the history of Russia has evolved. I am going to post some of my findings, some articles, some things I want to put into my thesis.. I hope many of you can help me !
